This guitar should not be this good. It beats guitars I have that cost way more and does it easily. I am not saying it’s better than a Gibson or Fender or any other high end guitar. But honestly it’s not far behind. I’ll start with the neck., it’s perfectly straight and the fret job is one of the best I have seen on a guitar under $800. Every fret is level, crowned and highly polished. They are all also even with the sides of the neck. The nut has been nicely cut and the action was perfect out of the box. The finish on the guitar is extremely good, it is very slick and very shiny. I spent a good bit of time looking for flaws and found none. The pickups are clear and bright when played on a clean channel and get nice and dirty with some drive. When you add heavy distortion they really scream. They will probably not get replaced. The tuners are not ultra high quality but they are not bad either. Once I tuned it to E standard I did not have to retune the guitar. The pots are all smooth and all have a great feel. The selector switch does not pop when changing position. The bridge and tail piece are both of good quality and do not rock and wiggle at all. The only negative I have found is the strings are not that great, not horrible but not great. They will be replaced this weekend with NYXL’s. The packaging was very nice, the guitar is incased in high quality foam, it is however only a single box and not double boxed. I would recommend this guitar completely to anyone looking for a superb guitar and doesn’t want to spend a ton.
